Thing to represent my country

I think every country has something that becomes icon or special characteristic. It usually different from other country and it just can be found in that country. And also Indonesia absolutely has. If someday there is an International Exhibition, and I was asked to send one thing to represent my country, I think I will choose “Batik” as a characteristic from Indonesia. May be in other country also there is Batik, but I think it is different because Indonesian Batik has own style and characteristic, so it will be different from other country.
I have some reasons for why I choose Batik to represent my country. First, Batik is original from Indonesia and it find just in Indonesia, although in some country is also there is Batik. But each of Batik is different as I written above. Second, Batik had knew from Indonesia. Many people have already knew that Batik is from Indonesia. In last time also there are some designers who make Batik fashion show in other country. It is to introduce Batik to other country. And the third, I think Batik is unique, it not only use to make clothe, but also Batik can use in other thing, for example bag, paint, accessory, etc. it is depend on the artist what she/he want to make.
So, I think it is a great idea if I show Batik to represent my country, because it has own characteristic. It is an art that other country doesn’t have. But it is up to you, what thing that you choose to represent your country. I proud of Indonesia has many islands and many cultures. It is also to be characteristic of Indonesia. May be other country doesn’t has it. And Batik is one of Indonesian cultures.
